Samsung produces a range of products, and one of those product categories includes refrigerators. Now Samsung has launched the 2022 range of its Curd Maestro and Digi Touch Cool refrigerators in India. The refrigerators now come with new Indian-focused designs.
Curd Maestro and Digi Touch Cool 2022 refrigerators will be available through all retail channels and in Samsung’s official online store Samsung Shop. The Digi Touch Cool single-door fridge range starts from Rs 18,690, and Curd Maestro frost-free range starts from Rs 27,990. Consumers can get up to 15% cashback up to Rs 8,500, basic EMI options from just Rs 990, and one EMI discount on the new models.
What’s new: the colors!
For those who don’t know, Curd Maestro is the world’s first refrigerator that can make curds. The refrigerators were first announced two years ago, in 2020. As a refresh for this year, it will now be available in two new shades, including a Bouquet Silver shade, which Samsung claims are the industry’s first flower pattern design on a steel finish and a Mid Night Blossom shade. As for the Digi Touch Cool series, the instant cool single-door refrigerators will be available in new floral patterns – Urban Tropical and Hydrangea Pattern.
Samsung Curd Maestro USP
The USP of the Samsung Curd Maestro is its ability to produce curds without any hassle. In addition, it is a feature that no other refrigerator currently offers. Samsung says the refrigerator allows curd preparation in 6.5 to 7.5 hours — 6.5 hours for soft curds and 7.5 hours for thick curds. One must boil and cool the milk and mix the curd culture manually. Then the Curd Maestro comes into play and plays an important role in the fermentation of the mixture. It will not only ferment the curds but will also store them.

Samsung Digi-Touch Cool 5-in-1 USPs
Samsung chooses to advertise this range of refrigerators with five main features. The first is the Digital Control Cool Temperature Setting, which allows users to control the temperature of their refrigerator according to different seasonal conditions. Different levels of temperature points make it possible to optimally preserve their food while meeting the changing seasonal demands.
The second is Power Cool, where the refrigerator offers up to 53% faster ice production and 33% faster cooling, Samsung claims. Third, the Eco mode adjusts the refrigerator’s temperature to around 6 degrees Celsius, saving 28% of energy and reducing operating costs in certain situations.
Fourth is the Blackout notification, and this is a unique one. Suppose the refrigerator temperature rises above 9°C due to a power cut. In that case, the Blackout Notification function will be notified via flickering lights on the touchscreen. The refrigerator will switch to Auto Express refrigeration to help consumers avoid food waste. The last one is e-defrost which allows the user to defrost the freezer by pressing the e-defrost button for 3 seconds.
Consumers can also stop the defrosting process at any time by pressing e-Defrost on the touch screen for 3 seconds. This will immediately remove ice from the freezer’s walls and evaporator. Once the defrosting process is complete, it will turn off automatically.
So these were the new refrigerators from Samsung with all the features explained. We think the Curd Maestro model is worth checking out for those who don’t stay home much and have to go to work so that when you get home and want your card next to your dinner, it’s always ready.
