Telegram Premium Features

With Telegram Premium, users unlock double limits, faster downloads, exclusive stickers and comments, improved chat management, and more. The subscription costs Rs 469 per month in India. Telegram Premium now allows subscribers to send files up to 4 GB, compared to 2 GB for normal users. Telegram says that all users can download these oversized documents whether or not they are subscribed to Telegram Premium.

Then users get faster download speeds, so Telegram can use your ISP’s maximum speeds while downloading something. Then there are double limits where you can follow up to 1000 channels, create up to 20 chat folders with up to 200 chats each, add a fourth account to any Telegram app, pin 10 chats to the main list, and save up to 10 favorite stickers. These are all halved for free users.

A new voice-to-text feature has been launched under Telegram Premium that can convert voice messages to text, so you don’t have to hear what the letter says but see it in writing. This premium sticker collection is updated monthly by Telegram artists, notes the chat app. Furthermore, there are many full-screen animations, which Premium users can send in any chat. In addition, these expressive effects are visible to all users.

Apart from this, there are unique comments exclusive to premium subscribers, improved chat management where the app always opens in a custom set folder, animated profile pictures that are visible to everyone in their contacts and chat list, a premium badge, premium app icons, and finally, no ads.

Updates for free users

Several updates and improvements have also been introduced for free users. Public groups now have requested to join, allowing group admins to rate new members before allowing them to write in the chat. Then public figures and organizations can verify their group, channel, or bot and receive a verification badge that shows users that messages come from a confirmed source.

Bots on Telegram have received improvements, such as the ability to include photos in a bot’s introductory message. This update brings improved chat previews for Android so you can scroll through them to view the entire chat without marking it as read. New buttons have been added that allow you to keep, mute, pin, or delete the conversation as read.

Now Telegram has reintroduced Autosave to Gallery on Android with improvements. Furthermore, when sending large files shared from another app on iOS, you can now see an animated progress bar. Telegram has also added a playful profile picture maker to macOS, allowing users to create active profile pictures of their choice with photos, stickers, colorful gradients, and emojis.

Finally, this update includes more than 100 fixes and optimizations for mobile and desktop apps. This includes squashing bugs, improving speed, and expanding minor features. iOS users with the latest iPhones and iPads get significantly smoother animations (120 FPS) throughout the app. “Android users will notice better audio and video quality in voice and video messages, along with options to set alternate app icons, clear all recent stickers at once, and translate user bios or chat descriptions,” Telegram said.
